Join Sam Rice for a 6-day immersion and exploration into peak pose sequencing. This training is great for teachers and practitioners who are interested in understanding more about the art of sequencing. Peak pose sequences provide the opportunity to explore the component parts of a specific asana posture to create more potential for access and understanding of the body in relationship to the posture. Teachers will learn about landmarks to look for in their student’s bodies to help them refine their practices. This 6-day session will help you cultivate the skills to create sophisticated and informative sequences to deepen your own personal practice and help others do the same.
Each day will begin with Morning Contemplation Practices.
Morning Contemplation Practices include: pranayama, mantra, meditation, journaling, philosophy and small group discussions.
We will follow morning practices with a 2.5 hour asana session.
The morning asana session will focus on and build to a peak pose. After lunch we will have time to review the sequence and go over all the details that informed the peak posture. We will finish the day with a short asana session and a long savasana to integrate the day.
